Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who can align business strategy with technology initiatives to achieve business goals. Ideally, you have a deep understanding of business pain points (CRM/supply chain/retail/manufacturing/HR), highly technical yet adaptable.

You have learned from your team’s mistakes during your experience building products for businesses and avoid the majority of them before they happen. You are able to make measured tradeoffs on technical decisions (including tech stacks) that are practical yet scalable (at the right times).

What you will be doing

  • Develop, deliver, maintain, improve, unit test, and integrate product features with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (Node.js)
  • Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Research, conceive, and develop software applications to extend and improve Impact’s products
  • Collaborate closely with related stakeholders to evaluate the technical feasibility, release, and timely execution of features
  • Support mobile API requirements (with Flutter) and cloud deployment (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues permanently

Requirements

Must have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer as part of a core team in SaaS/IT Consulting, building business software for medium enterprises (CRM, Inventory, Omnichannel, HRIS)
  • Experiences using Node.js and other stacks
  • Experience in system integrations and tech stacks selection
  • Can align business objectives with technology initiatives
  • Understand best practices yet practical and impact-driven
  • Knowledgeable yet humble
  • Share the same vision

Nice to have:

  • Experience in system design, system architecture, system roadmap
  • Offline-first sync strategies
  • Docker/Kubernetes deployment
  • ERP concepts (inventory, accounting, HR)
